Let's use the technology we have to build a real democracy. Representative democracy is no longer needed. You can - we all can - take on full responsibility for decisions which make a difference in our life.
Local politics has an image of being concerned with trivia and much of the time it is. Don't be fooled! Decisions are taken on your behalf which can seriously affect the quality of life you experience - and all of these decisions are yours to make under the law in literal terms and in spirit.
With your involvement we can make the true vision of democracy real. This could be the start.

Council Candidate - Joe Vosper
I was born in Leigham 1974. I later moved to Lipson and attended Lipson Vale and Lipson Comprehensive before moving to abroad in 1987. I returned after college, but emigrated again in 2010 to teach English. I'm a published writer. I've written poetry, novels, sit-coms and plays. I also like writing software apps and I plan to build a democracy application which this could be the basis of. I've been interested in politics all my life, but I don't believe in leaders or wish to be one. This is an attempt to put power firmly and permanently back in people's hands. I believe that if we are successful in Drake ward, other wards will follow suit and other cities will pay attention. We can prove the concept here and change the world.
