What's this?
I want to give £200 towards the needs of other broke people in Plymouth. I figured I'd put £100 on the street directly and the other £100 towards the most popular charity and so I gave ticket books out 10 people begging, and if you're visiting this site, you probably just bought a ticket for the recommended price -£1.

The ticket gives you one vote on which charity gets the other £100.

You can buy more tickets here if you like. And you can share this page with anyone else you think might want to vote. Votes are open until 12 midnight, 17nd October.

If you like this way of raising money and would like to take over this site and run it for a week, contact me through the link above. Similarly, if you'd like to be informed about any future charity fundraisers we do, use the contact link.
When I give money to a charity I worry if the charity is being run as I would run it. Are they serving the recipients of my donation in the way I intend them to or are they doing more harm than good. Now that the 3rd sector is an integral part of the world economy run almost exactly the same the business sector, I'm more concerned about accountability. The Charity Vote solution is to create a 3 way dialogue between the recipient, giver and the charity. I want to promote giving in this way so that it becomes in a charity's best interest to be as transparent and vocal as it can be towards the recipient so that they become the influencer over where we give.
